Buckets and usage

Use this page when you want to review how much storage is being used, how many buckets are listed for the service, and whether versioning is enabled or disabled on each bucket shown in the portal.

What the summary shows

The Object Storage Buckets summary shows these main metrics:

MetricMeaning
Contractedthe total storage purchased for the service
Usedthe storage currently consumed
Availablethe remaining storage still available
Objectsthe total object count shown in the summary

The contracted area can show the same capacity in more than one unit, such as GiB and an approximate TiB value.

Review the bucket list

  1. Open the service page.
  2. Go to Object Storage Buckets.
  3. Review the table columns for bucket name, usage, objects, and versioning.

This list helps you understand how storage is distributed across the buckets currently shown in the portal.

Search, filter, and sort

The bucket list includes:

  • a search field
  • a versioning filter
  • sorting controls for bucket name, usage, and objects
  • pagination when the list spans more than one page
  • a Refresh action

Check versioning status

Use the Versioning column to see whether versioning is enabled or disabled for each bucket shown in the list.

If you want to focus on only one type of bucket, use the versioning filter to narrow the results.

note

Bucket creation

A bucket creation action is not clearly identified on the page we reviewed.
