Backups
Use backup features to create VPS copies, review available backups, and configure recurring backup routines.
Where to find backup features
On the service page, under Service Management, you will usually find these options:
- Backups
- Backup Collection
- Backup Jobs
Backups
Use Backups to review the backups already available for the VPS and, when the action is enabled, create a new manual backup.
The list may show information such as:
- date
- format
- size
- protection indicator
Backup Collection
Use Backup Collection when you want to review a consolidated view of available backups.
This page usually shows at least:
- date
- size
- VM name
If you are looking for a specific backup for recovery, this view can be the fastest way to locate it.
This view can show you all your backups related to similar services.
Backup Jobs
Use Backup Jobs to schedule automatic backups.
This area may include fields such as:
- start time
- day of the week
- compression type
- backup mode
- email notification
The Start Time is set in UTC (GMT-0).
Difference between manual and scheduled backups
- use Backups for one-off actions
- use Backup Jobs for recurring routines
- use Backup Collection to locate backups in a consolidated list
What to check before relying on backups
- whether the service shows a backup file limit in Server Information
- whether an active schedule exists in Backup Jobs
- whether recent backups appear in the list
- whether the backup size makes sense for your VPS
Best practices
- keep a simple routine for reviewing backups
- regularly validate that the scheduled routine is still active
- before major changes, consider creating a manual backup
When to contact support
Open a ticket if:
- a manual backup does not start
- expected backups do not appear in the list
- the schedule does not run as expected
